New First Volunteer Bank Fraud Alert Text Messages for Debit Cards

Better protect the security of your Debit Card with our new Fraud Text Alerts!
This free program provides you with the capability of receiving a text message when there is suspicious activity on your account. Enrollment is optional so it is important to respond to the initial text message within 72 hours.

Initial Enrollment

The initial enrollment for all current First Volunteer Bank debit cardholders will begin Monday, October 22nd with enrollment continuing through Friday, October 26th.  Each cardholder will receive a text message requesting a reply to enroll in First Volunteer Bank Fraud Alerts.

If a cardholder has multiple cards, they will receive a message for each card number. However, only one response is needed to be enrolled to this free service.


Enrollment Process

The Initial Enrollment Request will look similar to the text message on the left. If you reply “YES” to enroll, then a Welcome text message will follow. All debit card fraud text messages will be titled First Volunteer Fraud Alerts.

 As a reminder, customers will automatically be un-enrolled if no response is received to the text message within 72 hours.

4 Helpful Tips:

  • 1. Customers who choose not to enroll within 72 hours but decide to enroll at a later date, please contact the Customer Care Center at 1-866-668-4700 for assistance.
  • 2. If you have a debit card but do not receive a text message,  please contact the Customer Care Center at 1-866-668-4700 to update your cell phone number and enroll.
  • 3. We suggest adding the First Volunteer Fraud Alert Text phone number to your contacts.  This will ensure future text messages will be recognized.
  • 4. If you have multiple Debit Cards, a separate text message will be received for each card number; however only one response is needed for enrollment.
